DESCRIPTION:“na Skylark\,” which simply means “the Skylark” in Irish\, is a trio dedicated to playing the traditional music of Ireland\, Scotland\, England\, Wales\, and Brittany on Ireland’s national instruments: the Irish harp and the Irish uilleann (“elbow”) pipes. na Skylark weaves these instruments and others – including the Appalachian mountain dulcimer\, the Irish fiddle\, Irish flutes and whistles\, vocals\, guitar\, and various percussion – into a tapestry of sound and feeling that’s truly unique. na Skylark is available for concerts\, weddings\, receptions\, and other performances both formal and informal. Harpist and leader Lorinda Jones is a board-certified music therapist and music educator\, and is well-known for her ability to tailor a memorable performance for every audience. na Skylark also offers a multimedia “Celtic Midwinter” program that’s perfect for warming a cold solstice night\, and na Skylark members are available for workshops and teaching sessions. na Skylark is listed with the Kentucky Arts Council (http://artistdirectory.ky.gov/Pages/PerformingArtistPage.aspx?ArtistID=92); the trio’s members are Lorinda Jones\, Cathy Wilde\, and Jannell Canerday. \n \nSaturday\, June 14\, 2019\, 7:30PM \nLink Centre\nConcert Hall \nTickets: $15 in advance\, $18 at the door.
