DESCRIPTION:Storybook Art June 18\, 19 from 9:00-11:00 am \nCost is $100 per camp. We will provide all materials. Each camp has limited spots available. Pay half the fee now and half the last week of May to hold your spots! \nStorybooks and Projects Include:\n1. Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes- monoprints of shoes (the way Andy Warhol did it!)\, printmaking with the bottoms of shoes\, observational drawings of shoes\n2. Goodnight Tupelo- Hound Dog portraits (with watercolors)\n3. The Umbrella Queen (A Thai Storybook)- create a Thai elephant on a background of umbrellas (using mixed media to include authentic blue fabrics dyed in Thailand) \nThursday is dress up day. Teachers and students can dress like a character from their favorite storybook!

DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets HERE.\n\nRising Star Summer Camp 2019 – Pro Singing\, Theatre\, & Film \nJune 19th-21st\, 8:30am – 12:00pm daily. \nRising Star Summer Camp is a 3 day camp for two groups: Grades 1-6\, and Grades 7-12. In camp we will focus on singing technique\, and both theatre and film acting techniques. The instructors are Demi Vanderwerff and Maddie’s Ludt. \nFor more information\, please contact Mersaidee@mac.com. \nLink Centre\n1800 West Main\nTupelo\, MS 38801 \n\nDemi VanderWerff\nDemi VanderWerff\, mezzo-soprano\, is a graduate Summa Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University with a concentration in Vocal Studies. She works as an active performer\, director\, and teacher in the Southeastern region. Demi has a passion for working with young singers to foster a positive attitude and a solid musical understanding. Her favorite roles include Hansel (Hansel & Gretel)\, Musetta (La Boheme)\, Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro)\, Kate (Madama Butterfly)\, Stephano (Romeo et Juliette)\, Mary (The Nativity According to St. Luke)\, Adele (Die Fledermaus)\, and Lucy (The Telephone). Demi has been engaged with Mississippi Opera\, University of Mobile Opera\, Ars Nova School of the Arts\, Jacksonville Opera Theater\, Opera Upper West\, The Huntsville Community Chorus\, Bloomington Cantata Project\, National Opera Association\, IU Opera\, Alabama A&M Choral Studies\, Druid City Opera\, and Fantasy Playhouse. Actively involved in the outreach of opera\, Ms. VanderWerff has directed children’s operas Gertrude McFuzz and Sid the Serpent\, and participated in Indiana University’s non-profit Round About Opera for Kids. In 2015\, Demi served as the intern for the OK Mozart Festival in Bartlesville\, Oklahoma. She is pursuing her Masters of Music in Voice Performance at University of Mobile. \n \n  \n\nMaddie Ludt\n\n\nMaddie Ludt has over 20 years acting experience\, which officially began as a munchkin in the 1996 Tupelo Community Theatre production of The Wizard of Oz\, and unofficially began earlier with countless displays of public drama\, the most memorable being an applauded performance at a departure gate of the Memphis airport around age five. Maddie’s acting credits include numerous productions\, spanning youth and adulthood\, with Tupelo High School\, Pied Piper\, and TCT (most recently as Ellen Roark in A Time To Kill). You can also find Maddie in several short films and in the feature film Driven. In addition to her acting credits\, Maddie has assisted with local theatre camps and has served as director and assistant director for productions with TCT\, Pied Piper\, and Saltillo Performing Arts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets HERE.
