SUMMARY:MISSISSIPPI TODAY presents Marshall's Mississippi: Tupelo
DESCRIPTION:Marshall Ramsey has seen (and drawn) just about everything in Mississippi for more than 20 years\, and now he’s taking his pen and personality on the road. Join us for Marshall’s Mississippi\, a dynamic roadshow featuring live interviews\, interactive illustrations and intimate discourse from Mississippi Today Editor-at-Large Marshall Ramsey and his acclaimed guests: Mississippi Today senior political reporter Bobby Harrison\, Representative Steve Holland and former Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland. \nFans of the Pulitzer-nominated editorial cartoonist have never seen Marshall quite like this: part news magazine\, part personal odyssey and wholly Mississippi. \nHe’s spent two decades drawing some of the most powerful political players in the state\, which makes Marshall’s Mississippi look a little different. He doesn’t just see Mississippi politics like we do; he sees Mississippi through lively caricatures and vivid color landscapes that find the humor that we often need in seemingly dark and dire times. \nWe’re hosting conversations around Mississippi with local politicians\, community celebrities and larger-than-life personalities so that you can experience Marshall’s Mississippi. We’ll have panel discussions\, meet and greets with Marshall and behind-the-scenes looks into his drawing process. These Saturday morning programs will be full of lively discussions\, good company and\, of course\, plenty of laughs. \nLink Centre\nBlack Box Theatre\n10am-11:30am \n\nBuy Tickets HERE.
