DESCRIPTION:***May 25 – 1:00pm-4:00pm (Actors Bash Workshop) \nThis special edition of the Actor’s Bash workshop will focus on performing monologues. We invite attending actors to select their own 1-3 minute monologue and have it memorized for the day of the workshop. The monologues can come from any source you choose. This event will precede our ACTORS MONOLOGUE COMPETITION\, which will be held one week later on June 1st. (Both events led by Writer/Director/Actor Glenn Payne) \nWe have a group critique after every monologue performance in which we discuss what decisions worked well and which could have potentially been more successful. From beginners to veterans\, all are welcome! It will be held at the Link Centre and the price is $15 per person attending (cash only please – tickets available at the door the day of the event). \n***JUNE 1 – 7:30pm (Actors Monologue Competition)*** \nJoin us for the second installment of our new Actors Monologue Competition. Not only will you get to witness some outstanding performances you’ll also be a judge for the evening! The audience votes for the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners. 1st place will receive a cash prize. \nATTENTION ACTORS:\nPerformance entry is open to the public. $15 to sign up. 3 minute maximum on monologues. Ages 18 & up. You can perform anything you’d like; original piece or from a play/movie. Judging is on performance only. The order will be random and announced at the event.
