Boo began his storied musical career in 1987 at the young age of 16 honing his chops songwriting and playing keyboards. His first paid session as a keyboard player was in 1988 on Al Green’s GRAMMY Award-winning “As Long as We’re Together.” \nFor more than a decade\, Boo has worked in the studio and on stage with a who’s who of phenomenal artists such as\, Al Green\, Buddy Guy\, Keith Richards\, Boz Scaggs\, John Mayer\, Trombone Shorty\, U2\, Elton John\, Bobby “Blue” Bland\, The Neville Brothers\, Edwin Hawkins\, Keb Mo\, William Bell\, Justin Timberlake\, Jimmy Fallon\, BJ Thomas\, Carla Thomas\, Steve Jordan\, Jim Keltner\, Melanie Fiona\, Paul Rodgers\, The Bar-Kays\, Dave Stewart\, Isaac Hayes\, Anthony Hamilton\, Robert Cray\, George Porter Jr.\, Angie Stone\, The Bar-Kay’s\, Bobby Rush\, Doug E Fresh\, Ty Segall\, Melissa Etheridge\, Paul Rodgers\, Mannie Fresh\, The Wu-Tang Clan\, Jim Lauderdale\, Dee Dee Bridgewater\, Snoop Dogg\, The North Mississippi Allstars\, Mystikal\, Sam Moore\, Eric Benet\, Bruno Mars\, Robert Plant\, Robert Randolph\, G Eazy\, Jeff Bhasker\, Mark Ronson and others. \nIn 2016\, Boo made Memphis Music History by winning the Record of the Year GRAMMY Award for his work on the Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars hit “Uptown Funk.” It was the first time a record made in Memphis earned a GRAMMY for Record of the Year. \nRead more about Boo at his website \n\n\n\n\nLina Beach is a Memphis-based singer-songwriter\, guitarist\, and the newest member of the legendary Hi Rhythm Section. Since joining the band in 2023\, she has toured internationally and performed alongside legendary artists including Carla Thomas\, Al Green\, William Bell\, Eddie Floyd\, and Cedric Burnside. Most recently\, she contributed guitar to the award-winning Sinners soundtrack and is currently finishing her debut album at Royal Studios. \nOriginally from Franklin\, Tennessee\, Beach moved to Memphis to attend Rhodes College\, where she landed an internship at Royal Studios with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Boo Mitchell. During a session break\, Mitchell overheard her playing guitar and invited her to record an Al Green cover. He was struck by how closely her playing resembled that of Teenie Hodges—the legendary guitarist and songwriter behind Royal Studios classics including “Love and Happiness.” He encouraged her to make records\, and since then\, Beach has earned the trust of the musicians who helped shape the Memphis soul sound while developing her own voice through raw\, authentic songwriting and heartfelt performances. \nBlending the warmth of classic Memphis records with honest\, contemporary songwriting\, Beach represents the next chapter of one of the city’s most enduring musical traditions.
