Northeast Mississippi Birthing Project

Growing healthier families by providing friendship, education, and support during pregnancy and beyond!

We are a community-based volunteer organization started in Sacramento, California, now thriving in Tupelo, Mississippi. Through our community-based doula and breastfeeding peer counselor programs, women and their partners receive personalized education in childbirth prep, breastfeeding, money management, infant health, and parenting on a budget. We provide our mothers with insightful guidance and evidence-based information in a timely manner. Our mothers benefit from mother-blessings, community baby showers, and seasonal events.

Awards:

Our director, Toni Hill, received the 2010 Birthing Project USA Harriett Tubman Trailblazer of the Year award.

In November 2013, Toni Hill was awarded the 5 Hour Energy Helps award–check out the video here!
