Volunteering

Volunteers have a unique opportunity to share in the Mission of the Link Centre. You will get a chance to:

    • Make a Difference!
    • Make New Friends.
    • Contribute to Our Community.
    • Bathe in Glorious Appreciation.
    • Have Fun!

Link Centre expects high standards of professionalism from its Volunteers. To be a Volunteer is to be “one of us.” As a Volunteer, you become the face, the smile, and the hands of the Link Centre. We expect that you will approach the opportunity to Volunteer with as much passion as do the Link Centre Staff & Members.

A village helps to keep the Link Centre running smoothly. We want YOU to be a part of our village! We can always use the help of folks who would staff ticket tables, artist merchandise tables, run concessions, help with lobby security during our myriad of events. Most of our events are evening events, and usually on weekends. Time commitments are 1-3.5 hours, depending on particular volunteer duties. We also have opportunities for office assistance, especially if you are handy with basic computer skills and enjoy interacting with the public in person and on the phone. If you are handy with tools, whether carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, or other, we always welcome assistance with small projects. Many campus events also can use a helping hand every now and then with small handy-work assistance. Some of our subcommittees are open to community members. Would you like to help plan and implement art events? Would you like to get creative with fundraising initiatives? Would you like to oversee building projects? Do you have a flair for marketing/social media/websites? There is a place for you on a Link Centre subcommittee. Join us! Come meet new people, use your gifts, and make a difference in our shared community!
