Although Beethoven and Ginastera were born centuries and continents apart, both were caught up in the political upheaval of their respective times, and both are distinguished by the revolutionary nature of their work. The NMSO performs Ginastera’s extraordinary orchestral showpiece where each instrument of the orchestra is featured. Dynamic pianist Andreas Klein performs the elegant and exciting Piano Concerto No. 4 of Beethoven. The works will be introduced by Maestri Byess and Klein in an entertaining discussion and exploration of the composers and their work.
